Marshall Fundamental Innovation Projects
Innovation Projects
Marshall Fundamental Students and staff have made Innovation Projects an annual, school-wide tradition. What began in 2015 has become an annual endeavor in engaging students.
The Innovation projects are centered on specific real-world issues, and students of all grades and of all abilities engage in analytical thinking in finding solutions aligned with the selected theme. This 2022 School Year's theme is Wellness. Students will gather in discussions, conduct research, and create presentations for their solutions during the third week of November 2022.
Past themes have included Drought, Transportation, Waste Management, Housing, Health, and Economics. In 2018, Marshall received the Civic Learning Award of Excellence co-sponsored by State Superintendent and California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye; recognizing and valuing the important role of students participating in our democracy and in civic education.
From the school-wide presentations, the top 10 to 12 projects and presentations will be presented to industry professionals, who will select a “winner” for the best ideas and presentations.
