CSLA Upward Bound

Cal State Los Angeles Upward Bound Program. What We Do

 

Upward Bound is a college preparatory program that provides eligible high school students rigorous academic support and guidance toward post-secondary education. More information about our programs is available on our Services page.

Currently, Cal State LA houses two Upward Bound programs:

  • Upward Bound – offers academic instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, composition, literature, and foreign languages.
  • Upward Bound Math/Science – focuses on strengthening math and science skills with the goal of preparing participants in careers in math and science.

Upward Bound is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s TRIO program and is available at no cost to participants. Learn more about TRIO.
