About the Posse Foundation
The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits, and trains student leaders from area high schools to form multicultural teams called “Posses” of 10 Scholars. Posse is a four-year program designed to ensure “Scholars’ success” by providing them with support for competitive internships and other prestigious awards.
As a member of UW Posse #20, Travis along with his Posse Team will participate in weekly pre-collegiate training with the Posse staff, which is a series of two-hour workshops where they will work on academic excellence, team building and group support, cross-cultural communication, leadership, and enhance their skills in becoming active agents of change.
Marshall’s 2022 Posse Scholar has optimized his time as a Marshall student, being academically strong, actively involved, and of solid character, earning his Posse Scholar Nomination. Through the Posse process, Travis had three interviews and went through the “Posse’s Dynamic Assessment Process (DAP), a unique evaluation method that identifies young leaders with great potential.” This process includes group and individual interviews with Posse Staff, College Partners, and Administrators. Through this process, Travis was successful in earning his Posse Scholarship and awarded the opportunity to attend his dream school, the University of Wisconsin Madison go Bucky Badger!
Travis Delgado is planning to major in Mechanical Engineering. He is one of 40 Marshall Fundamental students awarded a Posse Scholarship over the past 16 years.
